Forty-seven years ago Elliot "Buck" Cato founded Cato Gas & Oil with excellent service and dependability. Since then we have become a distributor of Exxon/Mobil, Shell, and Citgo fuels, own and operate a marine petroleum terminal, developed the Goose Creek Food Store chain, offer fleet fueling services, and supply residential and commercial customers with either propane or heating oil.

We are proud of our slogan"innovation at work" and have sought to grow our company as a leader in each business segment. We stay involved in the communities we serve and meet or exceed government regulations in our industry. Cato Gas and Oil serves Maryland, Delaware, and the Eastern Shore of Virginia.

The annual American Cancer Society Relay For Life fundraiser finished with an overnight event at the Shorebird's Stadium on September 28th. With all the help and contributions from the CStores and Restaurants, Cato went far beyond its $10,500 goal and tuned in $17,025. This made us the third highest contributor for the event.
